Assan was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma involving the stomach in December 2023. He initially received chemotherapy treatment in Singapore. Although the treatment was effective at first, a relapse was detected about a year later during routine follow-up examinations. The recurrent lesion was located in the stomach, and surgery was performed to remove it.
Following the relapse, Assan began searching for additional treatment options that were both medically advanced and financially accessible. Through an international medical referral platform and online research, he was introduced to several hospitals across different countries, including China, Turkey, and Israel.
